After my graduation in Antwerp, I moved to Sint-Niklaas to start working in a food company in 2008. I had no peace in my heart with the artificial food additives that were being used at this company.
Sometimes, I would take a walk with my family on the Meir during summer and notice the billboards advertising commercial beverages there. I started dreaming of opening a nice tea lounge with healthier drinks.
In January 2014, I received a bad result in a blood test with high cholesterol, fat, and risk of diabetes. I refused any pharmaceutical solutions and started drinking tea and less coffee.
By the end of three quarters, my blood test results were perfect.
In November 2014, Biochi Waasland was born on Stationsstraat in Sint-Niklaas, and Biochi Antwerp opened in 2017. Biochi’s interior is decorated with 100% natural and recycled materials.
The traditional oriental style brings zen, optimistic, and cozy vibes, which attract tea fans from all over the world.
Biochi is an organic tea trader and retailer certified by the EU authority. “Bio” is natural, “Chi” is energy or China. We engage in real tea (C. sinensis) with pure, original, and organic quality.
